Cantandum is conducted by its founder Gilly French, who also both directs and sings (first soprano) in Floreat.
Gilly is a founder and artistic director of Bampton Classical Opera, a small professional company with an international reputation for revivals of rarely-heard 18th-century repertory. She is also music director of Kingston Madrigal Society and was conductor of Imperial College Wind band from 2004-2021.
Jonathan Dods is our regular accompanist.
Jon is a freelance organist, singer and conductor. He is Director of Music at St Michael and All Angels church, Bedford Park, and deputy organist at St Martin-in-the-Fields.
